The scheme “Assistance for Area Expansion in Fruit Crops” aims to promote fruit crop cultivation through financial assistance for high density and ultra-high density plantations, tissue culture bananas, and papayas to farmers across the state.

About This Scheme

The scheme “Assistance for Area Expansion in Fruit Crops” by the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to enhance the production and productivity of fruit crops by providing financial assistance to farmers for adopting advanced cultivation methods such as high-density and ultra-high-density plantations like Mango, Guava, Lemon, and Pomegranate etc. This initiative supports the state’s agricultural growth and helps farmers increase their income through modern horticultural practices.

Benefits

High-Density and Ultra High-Density Plantations: Farmers can receive assistance ranging from ₹30,000/- to ₹40,000/- per hectare for crops like mango, guava, lemon, and pomegranate, with a maximum limit of 4 hectares per beneficiary.

Tissue-Culture Banana Cultivation: The assistance covers 40% of the expenditure incurred or ₹50,000/-, whichever is less, per beneficiary, with a limit of 4 hectares.

Papaya Cultivation: Farmers can receive assistance of 50% of the cost or a maximum of ₹30,000/- per hectare.

The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.

Registration Process:

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the

I-Khedut

Portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ from the top right-hand side, then click on “Beneficiary Registration” and select any one from the ‘Farmer’ or ‘Institutional’ or ‘Except For the Farmer’ as the Beneficiary Type.

Step 3: Select the District, Taluka, and Village, choose ‘what type of account holder you are?’, enter your Account Number and Name, solve the Captcha, and click ‘Save and Next’.

Step 4: Enter your Mobile Number and Email address, click ‘Send OTP’, enter the received OTP, create and confirm a Password, solve the Captcha, and click ‘Submit’.

Login Process:

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the

I-Khedut

Portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ from the top right-hand side of the homepage. On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.

Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button, and an application page will open.

Step 4: Click on the “Apply New” button and submit a new application.

Step 5: Click on the “Update Application” button to add corrections to the application.

Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.

Step 7: Take a printout of the confirmed application.
