The scheme “Assistance to the Fishermen for Purchase of Fisheries Requisites” has been implemented by the Department of Fisheries, UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Benefits
Installation of Inboard Motor (IBM) Engine through Bank Loan
For engine cost up to ₹1,00,000/-: 20% subsidy, a maximum of ₹20,000/-.
For engine cost up to ₹3,00,000/-: 15% subsidy, a maximum of ₹45,000/-.
The subsidy is applicable only when the IBM engine is installed through a bank loan.
Electrical or Solar Equipment
For equipment cost up to ₹40,000/-: 50% subsidy, a maximum of ₹20,000/-.
Insulated Ice Boxes for Fish Storage
For fisherwomen: 75% subsidy, a maximum of ₹6,000/-.
For boat owners: 50% subsidy, a maximum of ₹15,000/-.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a resident of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
The applicant must be a fisherman.
