Assistance Program for Expansion of Fruit Crop Cultivation

The scheme provides financial assistance to farmers in Gujarat for expanding fruit crop cultivation like mango, banana, papaya, etc., through intensive and ultra-intensive farming methods.

About This Scheme

The scheme “Assistance Program for Expansion of Fruit Crop Cultivation” introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to encourage and support farmers in the state to adopt intensive farming practices and increase the cultivation of fruits such as mango, guava, pomegranate, lemon, banana (tissue culture), and papaya.

Benefits

For Intensive and Ultra-Intensive Farming of Mango, Guava, Pomegranate, Lemon, etc.:

Assistance of ₹30,000/- to ₹40,000/- per hectare.

Maximum up to 4 hectares per beneficiary.

For New Plantation of Banana Tissue Culture Crop:

40% of the incurred cost or maximum ₹50,000/- per hectare.

Maximum up to 4 hectares per beneficiary.

For New Plantation of Papaya Crop:

50% of the incurred cost or maximum ₹30,000/- per hectare.

Paid in two installments.

Maximum up to 4 hectares per beneficiary.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be a farmer.

The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat.

The applicant must be engaged in horticultural or fruit crop cultivation.

Application Process

Apply Online

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at I-Khedut Portal:

https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/

Step 2: On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.

Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button and an application page will open.

Step 4: Click on “Apply New” button and submit a new application.

Step 5: Click on the “Update Application” button to add corrections to the application.

Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.

Step 7: Take a print out of the confirmed application.

Step 8: Applicant can also check their Application Status/View/Print/Upload Application details from the below link:
