The scheme provides financial assistance to the children of registered building and construction workers pursuing education from Class I up to higher education or professional courses.

About This Scheme

The “Son/Daughter Education Assistance” scheme is implemented by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBOCWWB) under the Labour Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme provides financial assistance to the children of registered building and construction workers pursuing education from Class I up to higher education or professional courses.

Benefits

Financial assistance for education will be provided to the children of construction workers at the following rates:

Eligibility Criteria

The two (2) children of a construction worker registered with the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will be eligible to avail benefits under this scheme.

Applications must be submitted between November of the same financial year in which admission is taken (from Class 1 to Post Graduation) and June of the next academic session. Applications received after this period will not be considered by the Board.

Financial assistance for education is provided on an annual basis.

Application Process

Apply Online – via CSC

Construction workers have to apply online through Shramik Suvidha Kendras.

During the application process, the following documents must be attached: Shramik Card, Aadhaar Card of the worker, mobile number, bank account details, Aadhaar Card of the children, attested copy of the children’s last year’s mark sheet (not required for Class 1), certificate of enrollment from the educational institution, self-declaration form, and a certificate confirming that no financial assistance has been received from any other department or government for this purpose.

After submission, the department will conduct a verification. If the information is found correct, financial assistance for the entire academic session will be credited in one installment to the worker’s account.
