• The individual must be a livestock farmer. This includes agricultural laborers, small and marginal farmers, landless individuals, Maldhari (pastoralists), and educated unemployed persons.
• The applicant should have secured a loan from a bank specifically for the purpose of dairy farming, which involves raising 1 to 20 milch animals.
• Availability of necessary resources such as land, livestock, and water facilities is essential for the livestock owners.
• Additionally, the scheme is accessible to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes animal owners within the state.

Interested applicants can apply for the scheme online through the I-Khedut Portal. The application process is as follows:

1. Visit the I-Khedut Portal at https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/.
2. On the homepage, navigate to ‘Schemes’ and select ‘Animal Husbandry Schemes’.
3. Choose the relevant scheme and click on the ‘Apply’ button to access the application page.
4. Click on the “Apply New” button to initiate a new application.
5. If any corrections are needed, click on the “Update Application” button.
6. Once the application is complete, confirm the submission.
7. Print the confirmed application and submit it along with the necessary documents to the relevant Taluka office.
