The Government of Haryana has introduced a significant initiative aimed at providing social security to unmarried individuals who face financial hardships. This scheme, effective from July 1, 2023, is designed to extend support to those who are unable to sustain themselves and require assistance to improve their living conditions.
Overview of the Scheme
The “Financial Assistance for Unmarried Individuals Scheme” is administered by the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and Antyodaya (SEWA) of Haryana. This initiative offers a monthly financial grant to unmarried persons, both male and female, who meet specific criteria regarding age and income.
Under this scheme, eligible unmarried individuals aged 45 and above will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2750. To qualify, applicants must belong to families with a verified annual income not exceeding ₹1,80,000.
Benefits of the Scheme
- Monthly Assistance: Eligible beneficiaries will receive a financial aid of ₹2750 each month.
- Duration of Support: The financial assistance will be provided until the beneficiary reaches the age of 60.
Mode of Disbursement
The financial assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through the Public Finance Management System (PFMS). It is important to note that withdrawals can only be made within the district where the beneficiary is registered.
Frequency and Timing of Payments

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for financial assistance under this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a resident of Haryana or have lived in the state for at least 15 years.
- Must be unmarried, irrespective of gender.
- Must be at least 45 years old.
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1.80 lakh.
- A valid Family ID is required, based on data from the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority (HPPA).
Terms and Conditions
- Any recipient found to have provided false information or whose eligibility conditions cease to exist will have benefits recovered as arrears of land revenue at an interest rate of 12% per annum.
- Assistance will terminate upon the beneficiary’s death, but the full month’s payment will be made to the nominee in the month of death.
- Financial assistance is exempt from attachment under any legal proceedings.
- Beneficiaries with multiple bank accounts under PFMS will have all accounts terminated and will be disqualified from future benefits under any state social security schemes.
Application Process
To apply for the scheme, follow these steps:
Online Application
Registration Process on Antyodaya-SARAL Portal:
- Visit the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.
- If you are not yet registered, click on “New User/Register Here” and fill in the mandatory fields such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, and password. Click ‘Submit’.
- You will receive a login ID via SMS on your mobile number.
Login to Apply
- Navigate to the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.
- Click on “Sign in here” on the right side of the screen, enter your credentials, and click ‘Login’.
- Click on “Scheme/Services list” to view available schemes.
- Select the scheme and click on “Apply for Service/Scheme”.
- Complete the online application form with all required details and submit.
Address Change Notification
Beneficiaries must inform the District Social Welfare Officer about any address changes. If a beneficiary moves outside Haryana for more than three months, they may become ineligible for assistance during their absence. However, in cases of genuine hardship, the District Social Welfare Officer may permit continued assistance for up to one year.

Benefits
The scheme provides monthly financial assistance of ₹2750/- to eligible beneficiaries.
The financial assistance will continue until the beneficiary turns 60 years old.
Mode of Disbursement:

Note: The Bank will not permit the beneficiary to withdraw the benefits from outside the district in which he/she is registered.

Validity:
The assistance continues until the beneficiary turns 60 years old, after which they may transition to the Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme.

Apply for Scheme: Registration Process on Antyodaya-SARAL Portal:
Step 01: To avail of the benefits of the scheme, the applicant needs to visit the Official Portal -Antyodaya-SARAL Portal
Step 02: If the applicant is not registered on the portal, then he/she gets registered on the portal.
Step 03: For registration, click on “New User/Register Here” and fill in all the mandatory details i.e. Name, Email ID, Mobile Number & password. Click on ‘Submit’.
Step 04: Applicants will receive the login ID on their mobile number.

Step 01: Visit the Official Portal -Antyodaya-SARAL Portal
Step 02: The “Sign in here” option is available on the right side of the screen. Applicant needs to fill in their credentials and click on the ‘Login’ button.
Step 03: In the opened window, click on “Scheme/Services list” and a list of schemes will appear on the screen.
Step 04: Now, select the scheme and click on “Apply for Service/Scheme”.
Step 05: Fill in all the details asked in the online application form and submit the application form.

Change of address:
It shall be obligatory for a beneficiary to intimate any change of address to the District Social Welfare Officer. A beneficiary shifting to a place outside Haryana State for a period exceeding three months shall not be ordinarily eligible for payment of Financial Assistance during the period of his/her stay outside Haryana State. However, in a case involving real hardship, the District Social Welfare Officer may permit payment of Financial Assistance to such a person for a period of absence up to one year, if he is satisfied that the shifting of residence was absolutely essential for the beneficiary.
