This initiative, launched by the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu, offers financial assistance in the form of a 25% subsidy on generator purchases, capped at ₹ 5,00,000 for generators with a capacity of up to 320 KVA.

Application Process
To avail of this subsidy, applicants must follow an online application process detailed below:
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the official portal of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
- Click on “Login / Registration” located in the top navigation bar.
- Complete the registration form by entering details such as Name, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, Email ID, and Mobile Number.
- Create a password that meets the criteria: minimum of 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one numeric digit.
- Fill in the captcha code and click “Register”.
Step 2: Login
- Go to the Login Page and click on “Login”.
- Enter the credentials sent to your registered Email ID and Mobile Number.
Step 3: Form Completion
- Once logged in, navigate to “Schemes” in the top menu and select the appropriate scheme from the dropdown.
- Click on “Apply Online” and then select “New Application”.
- Fill out all mandatory fields in the application form carefully.
- Review the entered information, agree to the terms and conditions, and click “Proceed”.
- Make a note of the reference number displayed, and then click “Close”.
Step 4: Document Upload
- Return to the “Schemes” section and click “Upload Documents”.
- Enter your Application ID and click “Submit”.
- On the subsequent page, upload all required documents following the specified format and size.
- After uploading, click “View” to verify the correctness of the documents.
Step 5: Submission
- Check all the required checkboxes at the bottom of the screen.
- Click “Submit Application”.
- A confirmation message regarding the submission will be sent to your mobile phone indicating that your application has been received by GM/DIC / RJD.
(Optional) Step 6: Track Application Status
Applicants can monitor the status of their application through the official portal. Regular updates may also be sent via email or SMS.
Application Timeline
Applications must be submitted within six months from the date of generator purchase or installation, which is determined by the date of the safety certificate issued by the Electrical Inspectorate Department, whichever is later.

Apply OnlineStep 1: Registration
Visit the Official Website/Portal
of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. In the top ribbon, click "Login / Registration
".
In the registration form, fill in the mandatory details accurately, Name, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, Email ID, and Mobile Number. Create a new password. The password must contain a minimum of 8 characters, 1 Upper Case Letter, 1 Lower Case Letter, and 1 Numeric Field.
Fill in the captcha code, and click "Register".
Step 2: Login
Visit the Login Page
and click "Login", and then fill in the credentials received on your registered Email ID and the registered Mobile Number.
Step 3: Form Filling
After successfully logging in, hover over "Schemes" in the top ribbon, and then click on the concerned scheme from the dropdown.
On the next page, hover over "Apply Online" in the top ribbon, and then click on "New Application" from the dropdown.
Fill in all the mandatory fields of the Application Form. Carefully review all the information provided, acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions, declaration, and privacy policy, and then click "Proceed".
Note down the reference number appearing on the screen and then click "Close".
Step 4: Upload Documents
Now, hover over "Schemes" in the top ribbon, and then click "Upload Documents" from the dropdown.
On the next page, provide the Application ID and click "Submit".
On the next page, upload all the mandatory documents in the specified format and size.
After uploading the documents, click "View" to verify the documents uploaded for correctness.
Step 5: Submission
Fill in all the checkboxes appearing at the bottom of the screen and then click "Submit Application".
The message regarding the submission of the online application to GM/DIC / RJD will be received on your mobile phone.

. The portal may provide updates via email or SMS regarding your application status.
Application Timeline
Within six months from the date of purchase of the generator set or date of installation of the generator set i.e. the date of issue of safety certificate by the Electrical Inspectorate Department, whichever is later.
