Application Process

Offline Application

  1. The applicant should go to the District Social Security Officer’s office and request a hard copy of the application form.
  2. Fill in all required fields in the application form, attach a passport-sized photograph (if needed, sign across), and include copies of all mandatory documents (self-attested if required).
  3. Submit the completed and signed application form along with the necessary documents to the District Social Security Officer.
  4. Request a receipt or acknowledgment of your application submission from the concerned authority, ensuring it includes the submission date, time, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

Online Application

  1. To start, register on the UMANG Portal. Click the “Register” button located at the top right corner of the homepage and complete all mandatory fields.
  2. Verify your mobile number by entering it and obtaining an OTP. Create an MPIN to finalize the registration, then log in using your mobile number and MPIN.
  3. Navigate to the “National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)” section on UMANG and select “Apply Online.”
  4. Fill out the application form, ensuring all mandatory fields are completed, and upload the required documents in the specified format and size.
  5. Thoroughly review the information and documents provided. Make necessary corrections if needed and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Finally, click the “Submit” button to complete your application. You will receive a confirmation message once your application has been successfully submitted.

Step 2: Mobile Number Verification and MPIN Creation
You will be redirected to the mobile number verification page. Enter your mobile number and get it verified via OTP. Create an MPIN to complete the registration process. You will be taken to the UMANG homepage. Login using your Mobile Number and MPIN.
Step 3: Accessing Services on UMANG
Visit the "National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)
" page on UMANG and click "Apply Online".
Step 4: Completing the Application
In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields and upload all the required documents in the specified format and size.
Step 5: Review and Confirmation
Carefully review all the information provided and the documents uploaded. Make any necessary corrections, if required. Acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions, declaration, and privacy policy, if any.
Step 6: Submitting the Application
Click the "Submit" or "Apply" button to submit your application. You'll receive a confirmation message upon successful submission of the application.
