Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant or their guardians must be residents of Jharkhand.
  • The applicant should currently be a student.
  • Applicants must belong to the Other Backward Class category.
  • Students must be enrolled in a school recognized by the state government.
  • For students in classes 1 to 8, there are no income restrictions.
  • The annual family income for students in classes 9 and 10 should not exceed ₹2,50,000/.

For Students

  • Submission to School: Present the collected documents and necessary information to the school principal for entry into the e-Kalyan portal.
  • Aadhaar Authentication: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process to generate a unique ID for your application.

For Schools (Principal/INO Responsibilities)

  • Login Setup: School principals or headmasters (Institute Nodal Officers) are required to register their schools using the UDISE code on the e-Kalyan portal.
  • Student Registration: The head of the school must enter the details of eligible students (including name, date of birth, and Aadhaar number). New students must be registered promptly upon their admission.
  • Aadhaar Authentication: A unique ID will be generated after verification, which will remain valid for subsequent years.
  • Approval Workflow: The applications will be verified by District Nodal Officers (DNOs) and submitted to the District Level Approval Committee. Approved applications will then be sent to the State Nodal Officer (SNO) for integration and processing of payments.
  • Scholarship Disbursement: Payments will be facilitated through the Aadhaar Payment Bridge System (APBS) or PFMS/NACH for accounts that are not linked.
