The “Scheme to Assist for Infrastructural Facilities for Gaushalas & Panjrapole” is an initiative by the Gujarat Government designed to enhance animal welfare. This scheme provides vital financial support to registered gaushalas and panjrapoles, enabling them to establish and upgrade necessary infrastructure for the care of non-productive livestock.

The goal is to ensure better living conditions for animals and improve overall animal welfare.
Key Benefits
The financial aid provided under this scheme can cover up to 75% of the total project cost, with a maximum limit of ₹4,00,000. This assistance can be availed for the following infrastructural components:
- Cattle Shed
- Compound Wall
- Grass Godown
- Water Bore (Electric Motor/Submersible Pump)
- Overhead or Underground Water Tank
It is important to note that the benefits can be availed by an organization for a duration of five years, allowing for multiple infrastructure development purposes.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scheme, the following criteria must be met:
- Organizations must be registered as panjarapols or gaushalas under the Public Charity Act.
- They should possess a minimum of three acres of land, either owned or leased for 99 years, where development activities will take place. There is no restriction on the maximum land area.
- A gaushala must have over 50 cows of local breed, while a panjarapol needs to maintain more than 100 livestock.
Application Procedure
Interested organizations can apply online by following these steps:
- Visit the I-Khedut Portal: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/
- On the homepage, navigate to ‘Schemes’ and select ‘Animal Husbandry Schemes’.
- Choose the relevant scheme and click the ‘Apply’ button to access the application page.
- Hit the “Apply New” button to initiate a new application.
- Use the “Update Application” button for any necessary corrections.
- After completing the application, confirm your submission.
- Print the completed application and submit it to the board within 30 days. Ensure it is signed and stamped by the GGVB’s nodal officer of the respective district along with the required documents.

Eligibility Criteria
Any panjarapol and gaushala of the state registered under Public Charity Act.
At least 3 (three) acres of land on which the organization has to construct the development work, must be in the name of the organization or on lease of 99 years. There is no limit on the maximum land.
A gaushala must have more than 50 cows of local origin While Panjarapol must have more than 100 livestock.
Benefits
Financial assistance of up to 75% of the total cost or ₹4,00,000/-, whichever is lower, for each of the following:
Cattle Shed.
Compound Wall.
Grass Godown.
Water Bore (Electric Motor / Submersible Pump).
Overhead or Underground Water Tank.
Note: The benefit of this scheme will be available to an organization for a period of five years for different purpose-components.

Apply OnlineStep 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at I-Khedut Portal: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/
Step 2: On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Animal Husbandry Schemes’.
Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button and an application page will open.
Step 4: Click on "Apply New" button and submit a new application.
Step 5: Click on the "Update Application" button to add corrections to the application.
Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.
Step 7: Take a print out of the online application and submit it to the board within 30 days of application with the signature and stamp of the GGVB’s nodal officer
of the concerned district with the necessary documents listed in the application.
