The Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has introduced the “Schooling Education” scheme to support the educational needs of children belonging to registered construction workers. This initiative aims to provide financial aid for students enrolled from Nursery/1st grade up to Class 8, ensuring that the children of laborers have access to quality education.

About the Scheme

The “Schooling Education” program, managed by the Labour Department of Jammu and Kashmir, offers financial assistance to children of registered construction workers. Under this scheme, students in Nursery through Class 5 receive ₹2,500, while those in Classes 6 to 8 are granted ₹3,500. To qualify, the construction worker must have been actively engaged in building or construction work for a minimum of 90 days within the last year.

  3. If you are a new user, select “Apply for New Registration.”
  4. Fill out the registration form with your personal details, submit it, and receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click “Verify OTP & Submit.”
  5. Once verified, you will receive a confirmation message containing your Login ID and password.
  6. Log in using your Login ID, password, and captcha. Please ensure that the credentials are entered with correct case sensitivity. Read all instructions carefully and proceed.
  7. Select the “Construction Worker’s Registration” option and then click on “Registration Form.”
  8. A dashboard will appear; fill in all required details (indicated by an asterisk).
  9. Upload necessary documents, including ID proof and any relevant certificates.
  10. After completing the form and uploading documents, click “Submit” and make the application fee payment online. A registration number will be issued upon successful submission.
