The “Scheme for Assistance for Start Ups/ Innovation” is an initiative under the Gujarat Industrial Policy, aimed at stimulating economic development through job creation and enhanced competition. This program, which is operational from August 7, 2020, until August 6, 2025, focuses on providing essential financial and skill development support to startups in Gujarat.

Launched by the Industries and Mines Department of Gujarat, this comprehensive scheme is designed to empower startups with the necessary skills and financial support needed to thrive in a competitive business environment. The “Assistance for Skill Development” component specifically offers financial aid for startups to engage in various training programs. These programs are tailored to enhance a range of skills, including:

• Soft Skills
• Managerial Skills
• Marketing Skills
• Financial Skills

The primary goal of this initiative is to equip startups with a deeper understanding of the business ecosystem, facilitate fundraising efforts, aid in the commercialization of innovative ideas, and support the scaling of projects.

• Financial Support: Startups can receive a reimbursement of up to ₹1,00,000 for participation in skill development training programs.
• Skill Development: The program provides targeted training to enhance essential business skills.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

<liIndividuals or groups with innovative concepts endorsed by an approved Nodal Institution are eligible.

<liStartups across all sectors, including but not limited to science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and healthcare, can apply, making it a sector-agnostic initiative.

<liStartups that have already benefited from the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) are also eligible to apply.

Steps to Apply

Interested startups can follow these steps to apply for the scheme:

Online Registration Process:

1. Visit the official online portal and click on the “Register” button located at the top right corner.
2. Enter your Email ID and press the “Next” button. Verify the information and click on “Submit” to complete the registration.
3. After logging in, complete the Common Application Form and click on “Sign Up”.

Application Submission Process:

1. Go to the online portal and click on the “Login” button. Enter the registered Email ID and Password, then click on “Sign In”.
2. In the “Dashboard” section, fill in all required information.
3. Click on the “Apply Now” icon available on the user dashboard.
4. Select the relevant scheme from the list and fill in the application details accordingly.
