The “Scheme for Fruit and Vegetable Preservation and Training Program in Horticulture Department HRT 5” aims to enhance the skills of women through training on value addition, preservation, and kitchen gardening of horticultural produce, while also providing a daily stipend and training support.

About This Scheme

The “Scheme for Fruit and Vegetable Preservation and Training Program in Horticulture Department HRT 5” by the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to empower women and urban citizens by offering hands-on training in value addition, preservation, canning, and kitchen-gardening of fruits and vegetables, along with promoting self-sustenance and nutritional well-being. The scheme includes financial support of ₹500/- per trainee per day- ₹250/- as a direct stipend and the remaining ₹250/- towards training material, expert honorarium, and other resources.

Stipend: ₹500/- per trainee per day sanctioned as training expenditure. Out of this, ₹250/- is provided as a direct stipend to the trainee, and ₹250/- is utilized for material cost, training literature kit, and honorarium to resource persons.

Skill Development Training: Training duration ranges from 2 to 5 days. Modules include fruit and vegetable preservation, canning, kitchen gardening, and value addition.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.

The applicant should be willing to participate in horticulture-related skill development training.

Registration Process:

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the

I-Khedut

Portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ from the top right-hand side, then click on “Beneficiary Registration” and select any one from the ‘Farmer’ or ‘Institutional’ or ‘Except For the Farmer’ as the Beneficiary Type.

Step 3: Select the District, Taluka, and Village, choose ‘what type of account holder you are?’, enter your Account Number and Name, solve the Captcha, and click ‘Save and Next’.

Step 4: Enter your Mobile Number and Email address, click ‘Send OTP’, enter the received OTP, create and confirm a Password, solve the Captcha, and click ‘Submit’.

Login Process:

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the

I-Khedut

Portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ from the top right-hand side of the homepage. On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.

Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button, and an application page will open.

Step 4: Click on the “Apply New” button and submit a new application.

Step 5: Click on the “Update Application” button to add corrections to the application.

Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.

Step 7: Take a printout of the confirmed application.
