SAKSHAM – KVK 2.0
The scheme aims to equip beneficiaries with skills for employability and entrepreneurship at taluka/village level across Gujarat. It provides skill development training through Short-Term Training and Special Projects for diverse beneficiaries.
About This Scheme
The scheme “SAKSHAM – KVK 2.0″was launched by the Gujarat Skill Development Mission (GSDM), Labour and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to provide access to skill development programmes to a wide range of beneficiaries at taluka/village level, enhancing employability and competitiveness in the job market while promoting entrepreneurship. The scheme provides Short-Term Training in National Skills Qualifications Framework Level 1, 2, and 3 courses along with Gujarat Council of Vocational Training courses, and implements Special Projects for marginalized and vulnerable groups. The applicant must be a domicile of Gujarat, looking for fresh skills, reskilling, upskilling opportunities. The scheme is implemented by GSDM through empanelled Implementation Partners across all 33 districts of Gujarat. The applications are accepted online through the GSDM portal.

Short-Term Training of approximately 300 hours duration in National Skills Qualifications Framework/Gujarat Council of Vocational Training aligned courses.
On-the-Job Training as an integral part of Short-Term Training with duration determined by specific job roles.
Specialized training courses for Special Projects tailored to meet specific needs of marginalized and vulnerable groups.
Training conducted at Saksham Centers established at taluka/village level.
Access to certified Training of Trainers trainers endorsed by respective Sector Skill Councils.
Industry expert and entrepreneur guest lectures on rotational basis.
Assessment and Certification Benefits
Assessment and certification carried out by Sector Skill Councils/Gujarat Council of Vocational Training.
Assessment and certification fees paid directly by Gujarat Skill Development Mission.
Candidates eligible for assessment with minimum 70% attendance for classroom training and 70% for On-the-Job Training.
Employment Support Benefits
Placement assistance and employment opportunities from Implementation Partners.
Multiple placement options including wage employment, probation with stipend/salary, service aggregator portal registration, job work acceptance, self-employment, and apprenticeship opportunities.
Post-placement tracking and support services.
Infrastructure and Facility Benefits
Training centers with basic amenities including drinking water and separate toilets for boys and girls.
Aadhaar-based biometric attendance system and Internet Protocol-based Closed-Circuit Television cameras with Digital Video Recorder systems.
Teaching aids, furniture, fittings, and equipment as per job role requirements.
Conditions
Minimum 70% attendance required for classroom training to be eligible for completion.
Minimum 70% attendance required for On-the-Job Training to be eligible for completion.
Original Aadhaar card verification required during assessment to prevent duplication.
Adherence to batch timings from earliest 7:00 AM to latest 7:00 PM with minimum 4 hours and maximum 8 hours per day training.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a domicile of Gujarat.
The applicant must be minimum 14 years of age as per labour law for non-hazardous occupations.
The applicant must be maximum 59 years of age for Short Term Training.
The applicant must be maximum 65 years of age for Special Projects.
The applicant must be looking for fresh skills, reskilling, or upskilling opportunities for Short Term Training.
The applicant must be out of education, school/college dropout, or unemployed youth for Short Term Training.
The applicant must belong to marginalized, vulnerable groups requiring special attention or specific job roles for Special Projects.
Eligibility for Special Projects
The applicant must belong to one of the following categories: Jail Inmates, Former Prisoners, Juvenile homes, Scheduled Castes, Women, Members of the Transgender Community, Members of the Beggar Community, Senior Citizens and Old age homes, Patients recovered from Mental illness, Children in Shelter Homes and Orphanages, Scheduled Tribes, Economically Backward Communities, Persons with Disabilities, Rural Artisans, or Migrant Workers.

Step 1: Registration, Login and Profile Setup
Visit the

of Gujarat Skill Development Mission and navigate to the SAKSHAM – KVK 2.0 application portal.
Create a new user account on the portal by providing basic personal information including name, mobile number, and email address. Verify your mobile number through OTP sent via SMS and verify email address through verification link.
Login to your registered account using credentials and complete your detailed profile including personal information, educational qualifications, employment status, and contact details. Upload a recent passport-size photograph in JPEG format with maximum file size of 100kb.
Step 2: Selection of Scheme, Job Role, and Training Center
Navigate to the SAKSHAM – KVK 2.0 scheme section and select the appropriate training category – either Short Term Training or Special Projects based on your eligibility and requirements. Browse through the available NSQF/GCVT aligned job roles listed on the portal.
Select your preferred job role based on your interest, aptitude, and career objectives from the available options in your district/taluka.
View the list of empanelled Implementation Partners and their Saksham Centers in your preferred taluka/village location.
Select your preferred training center based on location convenience and course availability.
Step 3: Filling Application Form and Document Upload
Fill the comprehensive application form with mandatory fields including personal details, educational background, employment history, family information, and preference details. Ensure all information is accurate and matches with supporting documents.
Upload all required documents in PDF format with maximum file size of 2MB per document. Ensure documents are clear, legible, and properly scanned with all four corners visible.
Step 4: Application Review and Submission
Review all entered information and uploaded documents for accuracy and completeness. Make necessary corrections if required and submit the application form. Note down the application reference number for future tracking.
Receive application submission confirmation message on registered mobile number and email address. Download and save the application acknowledgment receipt for future reference.
