Overview of the Scheme

Launched by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, this scheme promotes the establishment of live fish vending centers. These centers can be fixed locations, mobile units, or a combination of both. The primary goal is to facilitate hygienic fish vending while offering financial subsidies to eligible applicants to set up their operations.

Key Benefits

• Financial Assistance: Each unit can receive up to ₹20,00,000/- for establishing a live fish vending center.
• Subsidy for General Beneficiaries: A subsidy amounting to 40% of the total unit cost is available for individuals in the general category.
• Subsidy for SC and Women Beneficiaries: Those belonging to Scheduled Castes and women can avail a higher subsidy of 60% of the unit cost.

Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be an active fisherman.
• A valid Family Identity Card (Parivar Pehchan Patra) is required.
• Engagement in fishery-related activities is mandatory.
• The applicant must ensure proper maintenance and operation of the vending center.
• Only one live fish vending center will receive assistance per applicant.
• The government disclaims any responsibility for operational losses or damages incurred.

Application Procedure

Applicants can register online through the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal. The following steps outline the registration and application process:

Online Registration Steps:

1. Visit the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.
2. Click on “New User/Register Here” and provide all required details, including Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, and password. Then, click ‘Submit’.
3. Verify the OTP sent to your registered Email and Mobile Number, or click the Verification Link to activate your profile.

Login to Apply for the Scheme:

1. Access the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal again.
2. Use the “Sign in here” feature on the right side of the screen to enter your credentials and click ‘Login’.
3. Navigate to the “Scheme/Services list” and choose the relevant scheme.
4. Click on “Apply for Service/Scheme” and fill out the online application form completely before clicking “Submit”.
