“Merit Scholarship to Undergraduate Girl Students” aims to promote higher education among meritorious girl students by providing a scholarship amount of ₹3,000 per annum to 10 eligible girl students per government college who have excelled in their 10+2 examination.

The scheme “Merit Scholarship to Undergraduate Girl Students” by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana aims to promote higher education among meritorious girl students by providing a scholarship amount of ₹3,000 per annum to 10 eligible girl students per government college who have excelled in their 10+2 examination. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder academically bright students from continuing their undergraduate education. The scholarship is awarded based on merit, subject to renewal criteria, and is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Conditions for Scholarship Renewal
The scholarship is tenable for three years during undergraduate studies.
To continue receiving the scholarship, the applicant must secure at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination each year.
If an applicant cannot appear for the annual exam due to illness, renewal may be granted upon submission of a valid medical certificate approved by the Head of the Institution.
Mode Disbursement
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Validity
Only for students pursuing general academic courses in Government Colleges.
Scholarship renewal depends on satisfactory progress and conduct.
The scholarship may be revoked or changed at any time at the discretion of the government.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should be a girl.
The applicant should be a student.
The applicant should have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks.
The applicant should be pursuing an undergraduate general degree course in a Government College in Haryana.
The applicant should not hold any other scholarship or stipend.
The applicant may accept a grant for books, equipment, boarding, or lodging from the State Government or other sources.
There is no income limit for availing of this scholarship.
Preference/Priority
If multiple students secure the same marks, priority will be given based on:
Marks are calculated up to three decimal places.
If still tied, the younger applicant will get priority.

Step 1: Visit the

of the “Centralized Scholarship Portal” of the Department of Higher Education, Haryana.
Step 2: In the menu ribbon, click “Student >
Student Registration
“.
Step 3: On the next page, provide your Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID) and click “Search”.
*Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) is mandatory for availing of any Scholarship benefit. Students are advised to ensure their all particulars such as Name, DOB, Aadhar No. etc are fully updated in PPP before applying for any scholarship scheme.
Step 4: A List of the members of your family will be displayed. Select the checkbox against your name and click “Generate OTP”. Enter the OTP received on your registered Mobile Number and click on “Verify OTP”.
Step 5: After OTP verification, you will be taken to the registration page. In the registration form, all the mandatory fields get auto-filled. You only need to cross-check the information.
Step 6: Select your Department and College. Create a Password and click “Register”.

“. Use the username and password created during your registration to log in.
Step 3: Navigate to the online form of the scheme you intend to apply for. In the form, fill in all the mandatory fields and upload all the mandatory documents in the specified format and size. Carefully review all the information provided and the documents uploaded. Make any necessary corrections.
Step 4: Click “Apply” to submit your application. You’ll receive a confirmation message.
