Scheme for Financial Assistance to Institutions for Long-Term Projects in Art and Culture (Sarjansheel Goa)

The “Scheme for Financial Assistance to Institutions for Long-Term Projects in Art and Culture (Sarjansheel Goa)” is an initiative by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa. This scheme aims to provide essential financial support to both institutions and individuals engaged in sustained projects within the realm of Art and Culture in Goa.

Objectives of the Scheme

• To foster and cultivate a vibrant cultural environment throughout the State of Goa.
• To extend financial assistance to institutions and individuals dedicated to long-term projects in Art and Culture.
• To safeguard and promote the rich cultural heritage of Goa.

Benefits of the Scheme

Under this scheme, eligible applicants can receive a grant covering up to 80% of the total project expenditure, with a maximum limit of ₹ 5,00,000 annually. This financial assistance is designed to support a wide range of artistic endeavors.

Beneficiary Limitations

The number of beneficiaries may be limited by the Department or Government based on the availability of funds allocated for this initiative.

Eligibility Criteria

For Institutions

• Institutions must be registered under the Society’s Registration Act, 1860 or the Indian Trust Act.
• Engagement in long-term projects in the Art and Culture sector is a prerequisite.

For Individuals

• Applicants must belong to the Goan community and have resided in Goa for no less than 15 years.
• Individuals should be actively involved in a long-term Art and Culture project and must have contributed at least 15 years in this field.

Application Process

The application process is conducted offline. The Director of Art and Culture will issue an advertisement in local daily newspapers to invite applications from eligible candidates.

Steps to Apply

1. Visit the Directorate of Art & Culture at the following address: 5th Floor, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, Goa – 403001.
2. Request a physical copy of the application form from the relevant authority.
3. Complete the application form by filling in all required fields, affix a passport-sized photograph (signed across), and include copies of all necessary documents (self-attested where necessary).
