Eligibility Criteria

- The submitted work (news items, articles, or reports) should have been published within the previous calendar year.
- Nominations must be endorsed by the Editors of the eligible publications.
- Submissions can only be made for work published in the prior calendar year and must fall under one of the following categories:
- Best Editor Award on National Integration and Communal Harmony
- Rural Reporting
- Reporting on Public Health and Hygiene
- Reporting with a focus on Women and Children/Social issues
- Sports Reporting
- Reporting on Art and Culture
- Photo Journalism (Best photograph of the year)
Application Process
The application process for the Goa State Journalist Awards Scheme is conducted offline and includes several steps:
- Invitation for Nominations: The Department of Information & Publicity (DIP) calls for nominations from Editors of eligible publications.
- Submission of Nominations: Editors must submit the details of the nominated journalists along with relevant press or video clippings to the Director of Information & Publicity by the specified deadline set by DIP.
