• The applicant must be aged between 18 and 60 years at the time of enrolment.
• The applicant must be an unorganised worker engaged in the operation of commercial vehicles, including cars, taxis, luxury taxis, light commercial vehicles, vans, auto-rickshaws, tempos, lorries, trucks, or buses.
• The vehicle operated by the applicant must be utilized for commercial purposes rather than solely for personal or family use.

It is important to note that in the event of the primary beneficiary’s death, a nominated dependent will be entitled to claim the benefits.

Application Procedure

To avail the benefits of the West Bengal Transport Workers’ Social Security Scheme, follow these steps to apply online:

1. Visit the eDistrict 2.0 portal: Go to the official website.
2. Login/Sign Up: Click on the Log In/Sign Up option.
3. Register: In the User Login window, scroll to the bottom and click on “Register.”
4. Fill Details: Provide all required information accurately, select a username, and click on “Register.”
5. One Time Password: Enter the OTP sent to your mobile to complete the registration process.
6. Sign In: Return to the User Login window, input your username or email along with the captcha, and click on “Sign In.”
7. Submit OTP: Enter the OTP received and click on “Submit.”
8. Access Dashboard: After successful login, you will be redirected to the “Dashboard.” From the right-side menu, select the option to apply for the relevant scheme.
